Know your tanks recertification requirements.
Tank Inspection
#1-Visually inspect the tank for cracks and dents. No tape or cover should be on the tank when inspecting in order to fully examine the tank.
#2-Check for DOT or ISO/UN number to ensure tank meets state qualifications. If you have a tank with an ISO number and you live/play in the US your tank must also have the UN symbol and USA certification code stamped on the bottle in conjunction with the ISO number. If your tank only has an ISO number it is NOT VALID for use in the United States
#3-Look for the born date or last hydro testing date. All tanks must be hydro tested every 5 years and All tanks have a 15 year lifespan unless noted otherwise.
